About Catherine
The Woman Behind Tranquility Atelier
There are places that help you relax.
This one will help you feel safe enough to.
What This Place Is
Tranquility Atelier is not a treatment room in the conventional sense.
It is a carefully created space where the only priority is you – your stillness, your safety, your rest. Catherine uses massage, therapeutic touch, and meditation-led awareness to work with your body. But the work reaches far beyond technique.
Every single muscle in your body connects to one place – your mind. When your mind is finally, genuinely safe, everything follows. Your muscles soften. Your nervous system settles. Your breath deepens. Even the parts that physical touch can never directly reach – your spirit, your sense of self – begin to restore.
This is what Catherine creates – Not a treatment, a condition.
Who I Am
I’ve been doing this work since 2013 – long enough to understand that what most women need isn’t a better massage. It’s somewhere they don’t have to hold everything together.
My work combines therapeutic bodywork, meditation-led awareness, and a deep understanding of how stress, grief, trauma, illness, and the accumulated weight of life can become held in the body. I know this not only from years of professional practice, but from lived experience.
I have navigated my own journey through M.E., cancer, neurodivergence, menopause, and C-PTSD. I know what it means to live with exhaustion, uncertainty, and a body that needs to be listened to rather than pushed. I know what it means to need care that works with you, not on you.
Perhaps this is why so many clients tell me they feel at ease almost before we’ve begun. I don’t do anything unusual in those first moments. I think they feel – in their body, before their mind catches up – that this is somewhere they can safely let go.

Who Comes Here
Women arrive at Tranquility Atelier carrying many different things.
Some are professionals running on empty, holding everything together for everyone else. Some are mothers who have forgotten themselves along the way. Some are navigating grief, illness, chronic fatigue, or the groundlessness of a major life change. Some are therapists, nurses, and carers who spend their days holding space for others and rarely receive it themselves.
And some simply understand – sometimes before exhaustion arrives – that intentional rest is not a luxury. It is a necessity.
There is no standard session here. Every appointment is shaped entirely around what you need and what you can receive on that particular day. You don’t need to know what to ask for and you don’t need to arrive ready. You just need to get here.
And if you’d like to speak before we meet, just book a call with me.
How I Work
I am a nervous system restoration practitioner who happens to use massage. The treatments are the instruments. Restoration is the art. The Atelier is where that art is practised.
My work has supported women from all walks of life and all ages (from 19 to 76). Cancer patients and their families, women living with chronic health conditions, those navigating major life transitions, and fellow therapists who trust me with their own wellbeing. I am also the recommended therapist for two of Norfolk’s most prestigious hotels.
But qualifications and recommendations only tell part of the story. What clients return for is the feeling. A good therapist can help you relax from the outside. My work creates the feeling of being so safe, so held, that you relax from the inside out. And that requires a special sort of holding on the part of the therapist – to be able to be completely present for the client, but without requiring or demanding or trying to make your body do something.
What read like words on a page translate into a depth of feeling that leaves clients unwilling to leave the couch. And it for this reason that I have selected Grove Farm as the only venue from which I work, because it provides the quietness, stillness and peace that this requires.
And my appointments are deliberately spaced widely apart so that you never need to rush off afterwards. Stay, rest some more and allow the peace to sink into every single cell. The world will still be waiting for you when you are ready to leave.
A Promise of Privacy
What happens in Tranquility Atelier stays in Tranquility Atelier.
I do not discuss clients, share case studies, or post about my work on social media without explicit consent. Your privacy is not just a policy. It is a principle — and it is absolute. Deep emotional safety demands nothing less.
Credentials
I’ve been practising since 2013, fully insured, and a member of the Guild of Holistic Therapists.
Two of Norfolk’s most prestigious hotels recommend me to their guests – which I mention not as a badge, but because it tells you something about the level of care their clientele expect, and receive.
Come and See For Yourself
If something here has resonated for you – if you’ve recognised yourself in any of this – I’d love to hear from you.
There’s no pressure and no obligation. A short conversation is often all it takes to know whether this is the right space for you.
